This will be a gentle yoga class, suitable for all bodies. Hatha Yoga classes are warming, strengthening, and empowering. This is the perfect choice for those who would like to strengthen the body and retrain muscles. Class emphasis is on breath-linked movement, body alignment, creating body awareness, and learning to “listen to your body.” A typical class will incorporate meditation, pranayama (breath techniques,) gentle movement, and both standing and seated postures. Beginners and drop ins welcome and encouraged. Modifications always offered.
Class is by donation ($10 suggested) with 30% of the proceeds from all classes going to Kennebec Valley Humane Society to help support the homeless animals in our community. ♥
Are you on Facebook? Please join the Yoga on the Boardwalk Facebook Event for updates. Weather cancellations will be posted in the Facebook Event and on The River Studio schedule by 8 am on Monday mornings.
