$20 energy exchange
Minimum 8 / Maximum 15
Please join us to honor the Autumn Equinox with a very traditional yoga practice of meditation, pranayama (breathwork,) asana (movement and postures,) and chanting (mantras.) We’ll end the evening with an extra long Savasana, where Julie Gammon will take us through a guided relaxation (a rotation of consciousness, a little taste of Yoga Nidra.)
“Our ancestors around the world have celebrated and honored the earth and her cycles in many magical ways. Autumn equinox is one of the pivotal markers of the earth’s changing seasons, when the day and night become equal in length. It is a time to celebrate the harvest and to prepare for long dark days of winter. It is a time for contemplating a balance, equality and duality between light and dark…. Let’s pay a deep respect to the forthcoming darkness that is an integral part of cosmic cycles and our own cycles in the process of spiritual awakening.” (Rivers in the Ocean)
This event is suitable for anyone looking to deepen their yoga practice. All levels welcome. Modifications will be offered.
Verbal confirmation required. Maximum 15 participants.
