This is a gentle, nurturing yoga class specifically for prenatal and postnatal bodies. Prenatal Yoga cultivates strength, flexibility and tone, targeting muscles used in childbirth. Potential benefits include decreased lower back pain, improved sleep, and reduced stress and anxiety. A Prenatal Yoga class can also be beneficial in ways you might not expect, such as helping to initiate the mother-child “bonding” process before childbirth and providing a setting to share thoughts, feelings and support with other expectant and postpartum moms.
This class provides community, strengthening, empowerment and an opportunity to celebrate the “sacred feminine.” With enough interest, this will become an ongoing offering.
