In 2005 Nicole became interested in yoga, primarily for the physical benefits, however, committed to a consistent practice when she noticed changes in her patience, humility, and ability to slow down. She loves that yoga is a continuous journey that offers the necessary tools to navigate the waves of life. Nicole has seen how these tools can create positive shifts mentally, emotionally and physically and believes that we find strength and empowerment through softness and surrender. Through her practice and teaching, she hopes to share this with her students.
Nicole received her first 200-hour training certification from Jai Yoga Arts, Brooklyn, New York in November 2014, where she studied Vinyasa Flow with a focus on alignment, breathing techniques, yoga philosophy, hands-on adjustments, and meditation. Since then, she has re-evaluated her life; leaving her corporate job in the New York City art world after a decade to focus on furthering her yoga education, teaching, and founding her company, WanderFreely, LLC. Nicole completed her second 250-hour training with Caribe Yoga Academy, Puerto Viejo, Costa Rica in August 2018 and her Kripalu Vinyasa Teacher Training in October 2018. Nicole is currently enrolled in the 300-hour certification program with Kripalu Center for Yoga & Health, Stockbridge, MA and is exploring opportunities to continue her education of the psychological benefits of yoga and meditation.
