Linda Sadoff, LCSW, JD, is a licensed clinical psychotherapist for individual adults, couples, and families. In addition to master’s level professional training, her psychotherapeutic style has been influenced by advanced training with the Tavistock Centre for Couples Relationships in London, England, and the Relationship Recovery Institute. w
Each therapeutic journey is tailored to a client’s unique concerns. Therapy involves collaborating toward therapeutic goals, incorporating the values of living with more creativity, intimacy, freedom, integrity, autonomy, pleasure, and joy.
Over Linda’s years in practice, her areas of particular focus have come to include relationship skills and marriage counseling, family therapy, divorce and post-divorce transition, stepfamily adjustment, adoption, recovery from abusive relationships, and treatment of depression and anxiety.
Linda helps clients utilize both traditional and nontraditional adjuncts to psychotherapeutic treatment. Using this multidisciplinary approach, she collaborates with physicians, psychiatrists, and other health providers, and also facilitates referral to mind-body complementary approaches such as yoga, nutritional counseling, acupuncture, and group involvement.
As Linda’s first profession was as a public interest lawyer, she is available to serve as a consultant to psychotherapists, lawyers, and organizations involved in mental health and related issues, in both the private and public sectors. In addition to her private practice, Linda has served as a lecturer and workshop leader in Maine and elsewhere in New England.
Linda is a participating provider with most insurance companies, including Anthem and EBPA.
