Julia happily recognizes Yoga as the biggest staple in both her personal and professional life. Not only reaping the physical benefits through dedicated practice, Yoga has brought mindfulness, compassion and patience into her relationships. Julia received her first Yoga Alliance Certification (200hr) at One Yoga Teacher Training, Maui, Hawaii in August of 2011. She studied the Krishnamacharya lineage of Hatha and Raja Yoga practices. This lineage emphasises ‘Yoga for the self’, adapting poses to support each individual. She received her 300hr Yoga Alliance Certification from the same school in September of 2014. A prominent focus of this advanced training was on meditation, which she now offers in many of her classes. Julia is a full time Yoga Instructor and couldn’t be more grateful that she is able to share what she’s learned and experienced with others.
Expect to develop self-awareness in Julia’s classes by observing physical sensations, quality of breath, and level of activity in the mind. Her classes also include coordinating breath with movement, utilizing core stability, and finding a balance between effort and relaxation. She offers regular group classes as well as private lessons by appointment.
