Nicole’s classes range from dynamic Vinyasa Flow to inquiry-based Yin Yoga. Her teaching style encourages an emphasis on fun, a sense of exploration, and being in the present moment. Students are left feeling both enlivened and tranquil, with a greater awareness of mind, body, and spirit connection. Join Nicole for class on Saturday mornings.
Kim Nixon offers a traditional Hatha Yoga class, integrating styles from a variety of yoga traditions. Class emphasis is on breath-linked movement, body alignment, creating body awareness, and learning to “listen to your body.” A typical class may incorporate meditation, pranayama (breath techniques), gentle movement, and both standing and seated postures.
Yin Yoga is a more meditative form of yoga. In Yin Yoga, floor postures are held passively for several minutes in order to access a safe and positive “stress” on the deep layers of connective tissue in the body. Great for all body types. No previous yoga experience required. Wednesdays at 9am and 5:30pm. Drop ins welcome!
Julia offers asana, (pose) variations that honor and support individual differences. Students in her class can expect guidance in coordinating breath with movement, as well as an emphasis on core structure and balance. Join Julia for (mixed levels) Hatha Yoga on Monday evenings. Drop ins welcome. Please contact her directly with questions.
